MARIA LIDIA MAIOLINO

Service Designer and Tutor at Politecnico di Milano.

Graduated in 2015 in Product Service System Design, MSc degree of the Politecnico di Milano. During this Master, she has learned methods and tools of service-system design that contribute to the generation of scenarios of social innovation, through an User/Community-Centered approach.

She previously attended the Bachelor degree in Interior Design, during which she went to the CEU San Pablo University of Madrid as exchange student.

During 2015 she did an internship at Polimi DESIS Lab – Design for Social Innovation and Sustainability, Design Department of the Politecnico di Milano.

Especially she focused on the research project “campUS – Incubazione e messa in scena di pratiche sociali” working on the design and prototypation of toolkits that enable communities to co-design and co-create shared vegetable gardens.

Currently she works as academic tutor at the Politecnico di Milano, for different studios and workshops; she also is involved in Service Design consultancy, developing sustainable and innovative solutions for different projects, both internal and external from the Politecnico di Milano.
